“TERRE DI VILLAGA”, A PROJECT OF LOCAL INFORMATION, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION

 The project Terre di Villaga was started with the primary goal of improving the quality of rural tourism in the Municipality of Villaga; particularly in terms of information and communication to potential users through:

INFORMATION: implemented by installing signs / notice boards in the main historical / architectural / artistic public landmarks.

PROMOTION: implemented through the identification of the “Terre di Villaga” concept and logo, the creation of the website www.TerrediVillaga.it and food and wine events with the aim / objective of encouraging tourism in the rural area of the Municipality of Villaga.

ADVERTISING: implemented through the creation of a video, a book of photographs entitled “Villaga” and the Facebook page “Terre di Villaga” to promote and advertise the offers of rural tourism in the Municipality of Villaga.

Most of the contents created for the project are in Italian and English to allow the project to expand beyond the boundaries of the Municipality and Italy and to reach an international audience.

INFORMATION PANELS

The advertising and information signs of the project that have been positioned in the area differ in materials and shapes, depending on the architectural, landscape and gastronomic object being described or promoted.

Care was taken to design the following:

4 SIGNS DESIGNED IN STONE AND CORTEN STEEL at the access points into the area of the municipality to identify and promote the territory of Villaga.

10 NOTICE BOARDS MADE FROM CHESTNUT WOOD to promote, identify and describe the areas which PRODUCE EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL AND DOC WINE OF THE BERICI HILLS.

25 STANDS IN CORTEN STEEL installed at public places of historical / ARCHITECTURAL / ARTISTIC INTEREST (Fountains, Mills and Villas) to promote, identify and describe the typical rural artefacts of the area.

To achieve the objectives of the project many new photographs were purposely shot as an expression of the artistic and cultural heritage that characterizes and distinguishes the Municipality of Villaga. These pictures are visible on the website www.TerrediVillaga.it and the photography book “Villaga”. These wonderful pictures can express more than a thousand words the beauty and the great value of the architectural and landscape elements that characterize the areas of Villaga.


ADVERTISING PROMOTIONAL VIDEO

DOCUMENTARY DEDICATED TO THE PROMOTION OF LAND AND ITS HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL LANDSCAPE BEAUTIES.
The project involves the construction at the site of COMMUNAL VILLAGA no. 1 promotional documentary of the municipality with special emphasis on the historical and cultural heritage as expressed through the richness of the architectural and landscape that characterize the territory of Villaga.


TERREDIVILLAGA.IT WEBSITE

A web tool to collect all the contents identified within the entire research and rural heritage valorisation project. The website is designed to be adapted and support a variety of devices, from PCs to tablets and smartphones. All the elements identified by the project are here presented with text and explanatory photographs which are also geo-referenced, that is, located on an interactive map. This makes it possible, from the website, to get directions to all the places and artefacts. Routes on foot or by bicycle have been identified and are also visible on the map and can be downloaded for GPS devices, allowing people to easily visit these areas and benefit from the information boards.
