Situated at an altitude of 284m above sea level on the eastern side of the Berici Hills.

The source of the spring is at the base and the edge of an impressive cliff. It is a spring fed by rainwater captured and stored in the soil of the above plateau which then descends through the cracks of the rocks until it flows outside.

This spring was of vital importance for the local population in the past.

Following the enlargement of the road, which took place in 1986, both the drinking trough and its surrounding stones were removed and therefore buried by debris. Only the water collection tank which was restored in 1966 of the old fountain remained.

However, in 2014, the water collection tank was demolished and the fountain was completely rebuilt using local materials, respecting its original valuable elements (water pond, clothes washing area and drinking trough).
