This the most important spring of Pozzolo located in the middle of the valley of Corìo at an altitude of 230m above sea level. Due to its remarkable flow rate and consistency in 1954 it was capped for use as a rural aqueduct. Its water was conducted to a collection tank located upstream of Contrà Giacomuzzo and from there distributed to the other lower districts of Pozzolo.

At the same time a clothes washing area was built in cement close to the fountain.
